Female Street Art on the Roof

Who said graffiti are a male work only?
Are girls not brave enough? Or are girls just not good enough?

I admit I never though about it until 2 years ago.
I was into a library into the picture books section.
I was flipping through some big beautiful expensive graffiti books until my eyes fell onto this front page

My attention was immediately caught by this image and I couldn't stop thinking.. "Hey! Graffiti Woman..such a strange combination of terms.." and then the light came.

GRAFFITI CAN BE MADE BY GIRLS!

Ok, my femininity is not very strong sometimes, but usually when an average man/woman thinks averagely about street art/graffiti he/she doesn't think about girls. Probably because "the street" - what a scary entity - at night, when all the "bad (illegal) things" are usually done, is not the best place for a pretty undefended girl. Girls at night should be in bed at home. What a weird thought.

Girls are strong. What about all the noise of all the feminists movements?
Woman can survive the street without any problems.
And they can do art as well as men can.

That's why, when I was thinking of organizing a street art exhibit, my ideas, after many thoughts, meditations, discussions, arguments and so on, came to this strange uncommon project: a female only street art exhibit.

So, now that ideas are clear, girls are into it (soon the LINE UP will be online, and I'm sure you'd love it), the location is beautiful, and time is ripe, well, Inner Walls is glad to present you the first female only street art exhibit in Italy: FEMALE STREET ART ON THE ROOF
